1/20 this is my final of the spooky trees/Disney painting.. This was definitely a rushed project. I wish we could have had more time to do it so I wouldn't have rushed to finish it, I'll admit it looks pretty good for being rushed. But having more time would have made this look even better, didn't have the time to put in some extra detail. But overall it's not bad. I enjoyed this project a lot, I think it would be really fun, if we had more time. This is my final of my dream time. I used color pencil to do this project. I feel like I should have use some type of paint or pastel instead. But anyways, so i used colored pencil throughout this project. I used bright colors to make it look kind of busy and upbeat, the spots occurring in the top right and left top and bottom corners I created a soccer ball kind of image to act as lights. So the black around the image of a soccer field is trying to portray how it is to play under the lights, so that is why I made the field as bright of a great as it is. Then there is a soccer ball that is dotted out in yellow to make it portray somewhat of a star because that is the item used to play the sport. And then the bottom right corner is a pink goal, and I made the goal pink because that is where points are scored, so it's pink to act like a heart, like the heart of the game because the point of the game is to put the ball in the net. So that is basically what I was trying to portray in this project. The colored pencil probably wasn't the best choice, but it's what I used. This is the progress I am making on my project. So far so good, more small details will be added to this to make it a little less realistic and more busy (using the bright colors) and then incorporating dashed lines throughout just to somewhat distort what is occurring in the project to make it less figurative This is my final print (which is actually the first print I did with this project haha) this is matted in a yellow-gold ish matt. To give some color to the black and white print I chose to use with the help of Ms.Heideman as well to pick one to matt. This is my favorite black and white print of my flower. Interestingly enough it was the first print I did Work in progress.. These are my prints.. In color and in black and white. There are 8 black prints and 3 color prints. This was the practice block that we used to create what is an artist proof. This one turned out really good, I'm really happy with how it turned out, I was worried about how it would turn out at first but it came to surprise me This is my final pen and ink drawing. Finally completed after many many drafts, it is finally done, and im really happy with this one. I used Cross-Hatching for the background and then used Stippling that goes around as the border. The center is a highlight of an area that shows up dark in the original picture I found. And then I added value by making the over lapping lines darker and thicker and then adding some stippling as well. Created my final drawing on non final paper, to get a sense of what it would be looking like as a final. Currently, I am transfering this non final paper drawing to the final paper to make it officially final Using pen and ink to draw these spheres. Each sphere uses a different shading technique. The first one (far left) uses parallel lines, the 2nd one uses cross hatching and the 3rd one uses random lines and the 4th uses dots Using pen and ink to draw these spheres. Looking at the finished project you can see how each square looking as if it is actually swirling. 1 new skill I learned from doing this project was how to use lines effectively, by doing light to dark, dark to light, all light, and all dark. 1 art element mostly used is motif. A motif is an element of a pattern. It can also be repeated which it is repeated throughout my artwork. It helped to create something new because first the swirling gave the design some sort of movement, then moved parts around and created a simple design to create this one art piece. |
